Wheaton’s Gary UMC wraps graduates with afghans

Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton recently celebrated high school graduates with afghans knitted by church members.

The hope is that as the graduates move on to the next stage of their lives, they feel wrapped in love. Graduates also received Dr. Seuss’s book, “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” signed by church members.

Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St., has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions. This summer, the church offers worship at 9 a.m., including Kids’ Church. At 10 a.m. there’s a coffee fellowship hour, plus the chapel is available for prayer and reflection. For more information, go to garychurch.org or contact the church office at office@garychurch.org.
